American Gas Association
The Challenge
The American Gas Association (AGA) chose Distilled Logic to support the organization in a move to a new content management system that will integrate with its association management system.
The goals of the project are: to enable AGA to serve its constituents
better through its website, delivering content more effectively and
offering more online services, to provide a better platform for commercial
transactions and marketing (e.g., publication sales and job listings)
and to allow its staff members to take ownership of Web content and
help enrich and maintain the site.
The Solution
Distilled Logic began the project by re-evaluating the organization's
user research data, applying it against AGA's strategic goals and
objectives, and developing recommendations to prepare its content
for the site conversion.
We then worked closely with AGA and its implementation partner, Susquehanna
Technologies, during the discovery process interviewing staff members
and developing a revised content strategy for the site. We also conducted
user testing of two proposed information architectures and recommended
revisions to the content labeling and site organization.
The engagement continues with Distilled Logic helping to manage the
content conversion, collaborating with programmatic staff to ensure
the new section landing pages meet both organizational and user needs.
We are also ensuring the content meets the user-centered goals AGA
has set to continue to improve constituent service through its site.
The new AGA website launched in June, 2007.
