Can we afford to do website usability testing? We have worked for and with associations and nonprofits
for many years and know how much--both dollars and resources--organizations
invest in technology and communications projects. Given this level of
investment, can you afford not to test? Testing can be accomplished
with nearly no-cost with tactics like card sort exercises, website statistics
review and regular review of site feedback or polls. The site feedback
and poll information at least gives you a sense of user satisfaction
or "red flag" issues that may be easily resolved with better messaging
on the site. What can Distilled Logic provide that our design firm/CMS provider/website developer can't? Some of our most successful projects have been when
Distilled Logic was a trusted partner at the table with the client's
design or development team members. In fact, some design and development
shops do not have usability resources on staff and suggest our services
to their clients. At other times, organizations have used our usability
services to help determine or prioritize needs before approaching these
other types of companies. We recommend that you find the right mix of
expertise to help you at all planning stages. Each of your vendor partners
have a vested interest in your success. How do you charge for your work? In 99% percent of Distilled Logic projects, a fixed fee is charged. It is most beneficial to meet with you and your team members to understand what you are trying to achieve. Then, we prepare a proposal to demonstrate how Distilled Logic can help you meet the goals. Who designed your site? Holly Magnuson of New Leaf Design designed the website. The Distilled Logic brand and logo was designed by Suzanne Chanesman of Beane Design.
